Yarn Blast Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 September 2026 Last updated: 8 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Yarn Blast: Paws & Puzzles (the “Game”), published by Carles Balsach (“we”, “us” or “our”).

If you have questions about this policy or your personal data, contact support@carlesbalsach.com.

Information handled by the Game

Yarn Blast does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address or telephone number to play.

The Game may handle the following categories of information:

Game progress and preferences

Scores, daily-challenge progress, streaks and settings are stored locally on your device so the Game can remember your progress and preferences. Yarn Blast does not operate an account system or its own cloud-sync service. Local game data is normally removed when you delete the Game, although a device-level backup created by Apple or Google may retain a copy according to your backup settings.

Advertising information

Yarn Blast contains third-party advertisements. Advertising providers may automatically receive or collect information such as:

  • Device and app information, including operating-system version, device model and app version
  • IP address and approximate location inferred from it
  • Advertising identifiers, where permitted by your device settings and consent choices
  • Advertisement impressions, interactions and performance information
  • Diagnostic information related to the delivery of advertisements

Where required by law, we or our advertising partners will ask for consent before using information for personalised advertising or accessing identifiers on your device. You may decline tracking or personalised advertising and still use the Game, although the advertisements you see may be less relevant.

Yarn Blast is configured to use Google AdMob. Advertisements may not be shown in every version, region or game session. Learn more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services and review Google’s Privacy Policy.

Diagnostics and analytics

The Game uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand general use of game features. It may process app interactions, device and app information, approximate location inferred from IP address, and identifiers generated for the app installation.

The Game also uses Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and technical problems. Crashlytics may process crash stack traces, device and app information, diagnostic data, Crashlytics installation identifiers and Firebase installation identifiers.

These services are provided by Google. Learn more from Privacy and Security in Firebase and Google’s Privacy Policy.

Support communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, device details and any attachments. We use it to answer your request, investigate problems and maintain support records.

How we use information

We use information where necessary to:

  • Provide and maintain the Game
  • Save progress and preferences on your device
  • Display, measure and manage advertisements
  • Diagnose crashes, errors and technical problems
  • Prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations

For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, the legal bases may include performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Game, compliance with legal obligations and your consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent through the privacy options presented in the Game or through your device settings.

When information is shared

Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate the Game, including advertising, consent-management, analytics, crash-reporting, hosting and support providers. They process information under their own terms and privacy policies or on our behalf, depending on their role.

We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, investigate fraud or security issues, or protect users and the public.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain personalised-advertising activities as “selling” or “sharing” information. Where applicable, you can use the consent or privacy controls provided in the Game and your device settings.

Data retention

Information stored locally remains on your device until it is cleared, overwritten or the Game is removed, subject to platform backups. Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, maintain appropriate records and meet legal obligations. Third-party providers determine their own retention periods as described in their privacy policies.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy of certain data.

To make a request, email support@carlesbalsach.com. We may need to verify your request. Because Yarn Blast does not require an account, we may be unable to identify data held by a third-party provider using only your name or email address.

You can also control tracking permissions and advertising identifiers through your iOS or Android privacy settings. Users in the European Economic Area may lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority. In Spain, this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.

Children’s privacy

Yarn Blast is a general-audience puzzle game and is not specifically designed or marketed as a children’s app. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly through the Game. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through a support request, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

The Game’s intended audience and advertising configuration must comply with the age-rating, consent and children’s-privacy requirements of each store and country where it is offered.

Security

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect information under our control. No system or method of transmission is completely secure, however, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Game, its service providers or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes may also be communicated in the Game where appropriate.
